Brahma Temple in Pushkar , Brahma Temple in India , Pushkar Brahma Temple , Ajmer Brahma Temple , Pushkar Ajmer Temple

Jagatpita Brahma Mandir (Hindi: जगत्-पिता ब्रह्मा मंदिर) could be a Hindu temple placed at Pushkar within theIndian state of Rajasthan, near the sacred Pushkar Lake to that its legend has associate degree ineradicable link. The temple is one in every of only a few existing temples dedicated to the Hindu creator-god Brahma in Asian country and remains the foremost outstanding among them.
According to the Hindu scripture Padma Sanskrit literature, Brahma saw the jhantu Vajranabha (Vajranash in another version) making an attempt to kill his kids and harassing individuals. He right away slew the demonalong with his weapon, the lotus-flower. during this method, the lotus petals fell on the bottom at 3 places,making 3 lakes: the Pushkar Lake or Jyeshta Pushkar (greatest or 1st Pushkar), the Madya Pushkar (middle Pushkar) Lake, and Kanishta Pushkar (lowest or youngest Pushkar) lake. once Brahma weakened to the world, he named the place wherever the flower ("pushpa") fell from Brahma's hand ("kar") as "Pushkar".
Brahma then determined to perform a yajna (fire-sacrifice) at the most Pushkar Lake. To perform his yajna peacefully while not being attacked by the demons, he created the hills round the Pushkar — Ratnagiri within thesouth, Nilgiri within the north, Sanchoora within the west and Suryagiri within the east — and positioned gods there to guard the yajna performance. However, whereas acting the yajna, his married person Savitri (orSarasvati in some versions) couldn't be gift at the selected time to perform the essential a part of the yajna as she was awaiting her companion goddesses LakshmiAnapurna and Indrani. thus Brahma married Gurjar lady, Gayatri and completed the yajna along with his new consort sitting beside him, holding the pot of amrita (elixir of life) on her head and giving ahuti (offering to the killing fire).

When Savitri finally found the venue she found Gayatri sitting next to Brahma that was her rightful place. Agitated, she cursed Brahma that he would be ne'er idolisedhowever then reduced the curse allowing his worship in Pushkar. Savitri also cursed Indra to be easily defeated in battles, Vishnu to suffer the separation from his married person as a human, the fire-god Agni who was offered the yajna to be all-devouring and the priests officiating the yajna to be poor. Endowed by the powers of yajna, Gayatri diluted Savitri's curse, blessing Pushkar to be the king of pilgrimages, Hindu deity would invariably retain his heaven, Vishnu would be born as the human Rama and finally unite with his consort and the monks would become students and be commemorated. Thus, the Pushkar temple is regarded the sole temple dedicated to Brahma. Savitri, thereafter, stirred into the Ratnagiri hill and have become a vicinity of it by rising as a spring referred to as the Savitri Jharna (stream); a temple in her honour
